If you excluded all video displays from the template, then save it with a name that starts with "Data - ", and it will then appear as a data layout choice when creating a new data overlay project or when adding a data file to a project. If you kept the video displays included in the template, then save it with a name that starts with "Project - ", and it will appear in the New Project menu. When you have your custom dashboard layout looking the way you want, you can save it as a template for easy use by future projects: go to File -> Export Layout as Template, choose which items to include, then create the file in RaceRender's Templates folder. You can also click & drag to move it's position on the screen. Select if you want to include the video or not (if applicable), then tap on your RaceRender computer to begin the transfer. It should then appear on the screen, and its properties box will appear on the right, where you can change the Field, min/max data Range, and various display options to customize it further. ![]() To display the other data channels that may be included in the log, click the "Add" button under "Display Objects", choose the visualization type you want (Gauge, Bar Graph, Time Graph, Text Data, etc.), then select the data channel you want to display under "For Data Field" at the top, and choose a style that you like. ![]() The templates included in RaceRender are a starting point that can get your speed, tach RPM, and throttle visualized. RaceRender is PC software that allows you to overlay a video with data of your vehicle. When you have your log open in VCM Scanner, go to Scan -> Export Data, and that will save your data as a CSV file that can be used with RaceRender. RaceRender lets you create sports and racing videos with custom data and graphics overlays, GPS telemetry, multiple camera picture-in-picture, 360 video, etc. ![]()
